Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

The Morgantown Financial Group is currently seeking an experienced candidate for the full time position of Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.

This position provides administrative support for our new Financial Representatives. Position requires strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to represent the company in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality. Must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, and be detail orientated.

General Responsibilities (Administrative Assistant)

  • Set up initial files (clients and recruits)
  • Prepare form letters and correspondence
  • Prepare/maintain case history notes
  • Review applications, conversions and policy changes for completeness and accuracy.
  • Submit applications for input.
  • Prepare policies for delivery
  • Handle incoming service requests from clients: processing address changes, bank change information, loan requests and ISA service inquiries
  • Communicate with home office as needed to supply or attain policy information
  • Send out client birthday cards for Managing Director

General Responsibilities (Receptionist)

  • Greet visitors and direct them appropriately
  • Answer, screen and transfer telephone calls
  • Maintain the reception area, conference room and kitchen area
  • Maintain the conference room schedule
  • Make copies, send and distribute faxes
  • Maintain inventory (applications, development materials, etc) and order as needed
  • Complete and/or assist with projects as assigned by the Office Manager or Managing Director


  • Administrative support or customer service experience to include computer experience and/or data entry and excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in financial services industry or knowledge of insurance preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to multitask and time management skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality.
  • Associate agent contract within six months of employment date.
