Job Summary: This position is responsible for the installation and service of all low-voltage equipment and parts for commercial and residential applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following list is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this classification.   • Wire and terminate all low-voltage systems, i.e. fire alarms, security systems, access control, CCTV, intercom systems
  • Trouble shoot and repair a variety of low-voltage systems
  • Work directly with customers to resolve their problems
  • Assist with the completion of all necessary reports to comply with NFPA reporting and record keeping recommendations
  • Provide quotations to customers that resolve reported deficiencies
  • Perform 24-hour emergency on-call duties (on a rotating basis)

Required Certifications:

  • WV Apprentice license (must obtain within 3 mos. of hire)
  • Low-Voltage and/or Journeymen Electrical License a plus
  • NICET certification a plus

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experienced with hand tools and power tools
  • Electrical knowledge is a plus
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to use electronic test and troubleshooting equipment
  • Proficient at troubleshooting hardware problems from blueprints and wiring schematics
  • Proficient at troubleshooting software problems from program printouts and by utilizing laptop interface
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is a must

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

  • Work offsite at customer facilities – clean and unclean conditions
  • Work indoors and outdoors in the elements
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and ride fork lifts
