Working at Motel 6 is typically always a good time, you have punctual and responsible guests. The managements at my location is good and the staff is determined. A lack of security for workers.

Nice workers and customers.
Housekeeper - Housekeeper (Former Employee), Columbus, INNovember 6, 2014
Pros: nice and genuine customers/workers
Cons: property was a mess, the pay, safety conditions, bad communication between management and housekeepers.
Overall, the property was a mess. It was not clean nor safe. But, I have to admit that the extended stayers were very nice, and respectful. It was like a big family, and that's what I loved most about this job. Even though, a lot of the extended stayers had little to nothing, they were still so polite, and actually respectful! I got close to some workers, and extended stayers over the short time I worked there, and although the property was horrible, the people are the opposite. As far as the job goes, it wasn't really hard, but it wasn't exactly easy either. There were things you had to get done in a certain amount of time, rooms always being added to your list, and never knowing when you were going to get to go home that day. Although I would probably never work at this place again, I do not regret working here one bit!

Night auditor/Front desk associate (Current Employee), Ogden, UTOctober 24, 2014
Pros: low stress, easy money
Cons: low wages, sometimes boring
Fairly simple customer service related work. Low stress level, sometimes boring. Able to watch tv or do homework between check ins. Hardest part of the auditors job is figuring out what mistakes were made and how to fix them.

this job was tough at times when cleaning rooms. they expect you to clean a messy room in 19 minutes or less. the pay was low and other employees unreliable. management at the time was great.

GENERAL MANAGER, G6 HOSPITALITY (Current Employee), OklahomaOctober 21, 2014
Cons: wages, lack of training, no advancement
Liar, liar pants on fire!! You live on property as a GM, so they can work you to death. You are constantly working hourly positions because their is not enough labor. So you are the laundry person after working your ten hours, you get to wash linen 5-6 days a week. You are constantly being held accountable for an outdated product, old buildngs, dated equpment. Your job s threatened every month based on unfair guest satisfaction scores - even if you make profit. No support!!

General Service Representative (GSR) (Former Employee), Paso Robles, CAOctober 15, 2014
The reason I quit was due to a coworker repetitively hitting me on my head. I was warned about several of the employees, which has been there for a while, how they like to push the new employees out. Well, they won and that is why i am searching for another job.
