Founded in 2003, Mothers' Milk Bank of North Texas accepts donated breast milk from carefully screened, healthy, breast-feeding mothers. Milk is pasteurized, tested to ensure that no bacteria exist and frozen until it is prescribed.
MMBNT follows the guidelines of the Human Milk Banking Association of North America. These procedures are costly, so – more... a small processing fee is charged. This fee covers less than half of the actual costs involved in screening donor mothers and pasteurizing, testing and storing donor milk.
