We use social media as the input to understand why people behave the way they do, as a next-generation market research business. MotiveQuest works primarily with Fortune 500 Companies helping them create actionable insights and solve tough business challenges based on what consumers are saying in social media.
The role of this position is to drive sales by establishing relationships with new clients and growing existing accounts by educating them on our unique approach and interpreting how this applies to their business challenges. Once a project is sold, the salesperson manages the long term relationship and works in partnership with the operations team who fulfill the services required.

*Identify and call leads within the marketing or research departments of Fortune 500 Companies.
*Research, prospect and propose potential business deals via a consultative process with clients.
*Close new deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
*Lead the sales process until the initial sale is made and the appropriate resources are onboard.
*Foster positive and expanding business relationships with prospects for new projects and repeat clients.
*Meet sales targets for new business and repeat business within region.
*Demonstrate expert knowledge of MotiveQuest services, as well as competitors.
*Quickly establish MotiveQuest as a consultative partner, rather than a vendor.
*Lay the foundation for a strong, trusting relationship with our clients and converting them into long-term, repeating clients.
*Prepare weekly and quarterly reports (weekly activity reports, weekly account updates, proposal reviews, monthly projections/forecasts, etc.) for management.
*Travel required (25-35%).
*Reports to the CMO.
Desired Skills & Experience:
*A minimum of (6) years experience in business development within an ad agency, or consultative based selling of marketing technology or services to large national companies within the U.S.
*Bachelor Degree required.
*Good team player.
*An entrepreneurial mindset.
*Flexible to work with a rapidly changing industry.
*Must have a strong understanding of marketing research, social media, advertising and marketing.
*An active network of contacts and relationships that could potentially benefit from MotiveQuest
services and solutions (e.g. brand managers, market research depts).
*A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, and keeping a pipeline full of qualified prospects.
*Ability to prospect, and to find the decision makers within an organization.
*Demonstrate a high level of commitment and follow-through.
*Ability to develop intimate relationships with potential clients in a short period of time.
*Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to develop strong relationships both internally and with clients.

*Experience in preparing RFP’s and proposals to present to decision makers.
