Work is constant and can be challenging. Like any other huge companies, it outsources jobs or have massive lay-offs especially when the Quarterly financials are down. We've seen a lot of people come and go, and soon realized how expendable you can be to a big company.

Motorola Mobility is struggling in today's cellphone market. Currently owned by Lenovo, the cellphone is being transferred over to the Motorola Mobility operations in China.
The people that work at Motorola Mobility are very technical and highly motivated to make a high quality product for the consumer. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the individuals over the course of my career.
The work environment has been very challenging over the past three (3) years due to the completion in the market and all of the cost cutting that the company has had to do.

It is a good Hi Tech company to work for. Always bringing in something new, innovative products to the market. However, it struggles to sell those and make money. As a result the company is shrinking and getting vanished.

The most salient review point to make is that after 2 years of ownership by Lenovo, they appear in the process of ramping down the Motorola Mobility business, based on layoffs that have claimed an estimated 2/3rds of all employees.
Tremendously talented individuals work at Motorola Mobility; however, the business is not stable.

They did not reimburse me for traveling 150 miles to the nearest airport. I had to repeatedly explain to their representative the location of the nearest airport to my location. They were clearly more interested in hiring someone who was a good talker, than they were interested in someone with good engineering skills
