Adjunct Instructor (Former Employee) – Flint, MI – December 10, 2015
A typical work day was working with students meeting the class objectives resulting in student employment. I learned that most students were registered for the class to learn. Management empowered me to meet the student objectives. Instructors concentrating on their work assignments with very little time for team (together everyone achieves more) work. The maximum number of students in each class was twenty five. The hardest part of the job was helping the slow learners to keep up with the rest of the class. Assistant Instructors were assigned on a volunteer basis to help others. The most enjoyable part of the job was to let the students know on a regular basis that if they are having a little bit of fun in class they will learn more.
Student Work Study Program (Current Employee) – Flint, MI – December 2, 2015
I learn something new everyday here in the Curtis Mott Computer Lab at Mott Community College, I work with a great group of people and fellow students. This is a very interesting place to work and when I'm not helping someone I can do homework.
Nursing Student Clinical Rotation (Former Employee) – Flint, MI – August 19, 2015
The program is good but some of the instructors are ridiculous with not giving the info needed and poor attitudes. Very controlling women. I refer students to a different school. Even the credits are low for all the hours required. Not enough credits to even quality for financial aide. Hardship in many areas

Health Science Cordinator (Former Employee) – Flint, MI – July 1, 2015
I learned a lot about the nursing field. My co-workers were nice to work with, we've never had problems. The hardest part was trying to keep students from sneaking food in the lab but I always stayed on top of it.
My supervisor provided snacks for lunch some times.
Michigan Works (Former Employee) – Flint, MI – June 3, 2015
Café for breakfast, lunch and snacks whenever you please. Work on the floor and stand by the sides of ones in need. If someone needed you assistance they can raise their hand and you assist them no matter their gender, what they look like, or what type of assistance they needed. You could choose you lunch time and take lunch and a break during the day with vending and other options available. You could also work behind the desk gathering together paperwork most customers are in need of.
On a typical work day I file folders, meet and greet students or past students of Mott Community College, answer phones and enter data into Microsoft Word and Excel. We also have a data entry application by the name of SARS. I learned more about computers and the different sites and how to use the desktop all in one. The environment is gentle and smooth for the most part, then we also have days where its fast paced and we have to move quickly. My co-workers are mature and we work together to help our company grow. The hardest part of the job is when the semester is about to end when a lot of students comes in to schedules appointments and get new referrals. I enjoy meeting new people and learning more about the students at Mott and in my community.
