Nice office, low stress, productive environment. Everyone is treated with respect and given the opportunity to learn, grow, and encouraged to better themselves. Management is attentive and fair. Co-workers are pleasant and well-chosen. Excellent work-life balance with deadlines that are very well managed.

Management systems not quite joined up but workable.
Good group of co-workers established a good rapore.
The hardest part of the job was getting the different disciplines to liaise on certain sections of the design (what's new).

My intern as Assistant to the Lead Electrical Engineer reviewed the project drawings such as single line diagram and distribution load schedule, cause and effect diagram, control system architect drawing and light and power layouts and highlight any discrepancy or omission.

Best company for which I worked in every aspect. Very interesting projects, big training budget, very nice co-workers, flexible hours, very wise and supportive managers.

Was able to get a good focused view of the oil and gas industry.

HIgh Staff turnover; no support from management and a box-ticking-ineffective HR department. Some of the worst managers I have had the misfortune to be under and an HR department that were more concerned with being seen to be doing the right thing without actually doing anything. Too many levels of managers; and too many overhead staff such as, admin, – more... customer support, IT, project managers, accounts, HR and not enough work to sustain its bloated self in the long term. Not enough good seasoned "old hands" from which to learn from due to employing mostly grads at a cheaper rate and not regarding long term experience with the respect it deserves. Only way to advance to management is to be a poor engineer that needs moved to a position where they can do less harm – less

Working in Croydon HQ -there is no canteen or any sort of eating area. You are expected to eat by your desk or go out. No system in place for overtime payments for admin staff, and you will be expected to do overtime. High staff turnover, the drive is more towards recruitment rather than retention. A typical day at work consisted of understanding the pumping station design and doing research online on the concrete technology advancements to incorporate them in the pumping station design.

Visiting clients project site for understanding of the project configuration and how to carry about with the project is one the most interesting aspects. I have learned a lot while my visit to several integrated steel plants and brewery plants.
