From the outside, the Mount Auburn Club presents itself as an elite business. From the inside, it is a total disaster. Management is flat and stagnant, afraid of change or dissenting opinions after 40 years of status quo. You can make excellent money as a personal trainer here, but you will not be respected as a person by management. The members are mostly baby boomers of the worst kind, always complaining and never making eye contact. This business is a dinosaur like its owner, and it's only a matter of time until it dies off like its aging clientele. There is much freedom to do what you want because no one thinks to check on you, but that is in the process of being changed (by re-promoting the same people who were demoted years earlier for not doing a good enough job). This truly is a terrible place to work. However, it pays well and you'd have to try to get fired.
