A typical day as a steward is cleaning kitchens all day. Sweeping, mopping, trashes, etc. Tons of micro-managing and making sure people stay on task 24/7. Days go by very slow because there isn't a whole lot of work to be done. The scheduling was awful. We had far too many people on slow days and under staffed when the help was needed.
Advancement within the company is limited if you are not tribal. The best part of the job was the people I got to meet and work with.
