Territory Manager: Money is the only positive.
Pros: Good money.
Cons: Not Rewarding in Any Other Way, Management, Negative Atmosphere, Old School Scare Tactics, Bullying, Breaking Down People's Self-Esteem
If all you care about is money, then work here. If you have a desire for connecting with people and having a greater purpose than just talking on the phone all day and being mentally manipulated by a choice few managers, then don't work here.
You have the ability to make a great deal of money. But prepare to feel unappreciated by specific management if you experience success. You will be treated no differently. Don't get me wrong, it's a great way to keep pushing past any success ceiling. However, if you don't handle conflict well and don't like someone standing over your shoulder upset if you don't let be a puppeteer, don't do this.
Struggling to make sales is one thing. But when you get constantly criticized and deal with hot-tempered management on top of that, you'll finally realize that the best scenario is to leave.
If you do this, prepare for:
-Everyone knowing anything and everything about your personal life.
-Harassment of all types.
-A negative environment on 80% of days.
-Nothing ever being enough.
On the other hand, having success DESPITE all of that can be very rewarding. But it gets OLD in the long term.
Something has to change. You can't treat good employees like garbage as if this company is their only option for success other than "working at McDonald's" and other unrealistic comparisons used to "motivate" you.
POSITIVITY always wins. So LEARN that and teach it to management.
**SOME management are VERY good with helping and allowing proper ROOM for growth. So your experience is based solely on who you get as a manager, which you don't choose obviously.
So you decide whether it's worth the risk. If not, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
