Great place to meet people
Technician (Current Employee), Minnetonka, MN – April 24, 2013
Pros: met various people through out
Cons: worked 6 or 7 days a week, not allowing family time
The day starts at eight am and goes til you finish your assigned work load. I could be doing service calls all day or a mixture of service and installs. No matter what the call may be the key of the day is to keep the customer satisfied. I really enjoyed te fact that your supervisor wasnt over you every minute which allowed you to show them you could – more... be trusted and complete your day. – less

Not a place to work if you want a life.
Supervisor (Current Employee), Cincinnati – March 18, 2013
Pros: meeting new people.
Cons: no life with family. being lied to every day.
I Worked 18 hours a day 7 days a week.
I learned not to trust anyone on the corporate level.
Management will throw you under the buss anytime they can.
The co-workers are a good group of hard workers.
The hardest part of the job is not spending time with my family.
The most enjoyable part of the job is being a leader helping techs and supervisors become – more... leaders. – less

Completely unprofessional...
Install Tech (Former Employee), Shreveport – March 11, 2013
Pros: what are pros at this job..
Cons: everything listed above... poor training poor leadership unrealistic expectations for level of pay
Worked as a tech for six months. All of the rats jumped off of the ship bc the local office in Shreveport sucked. No leadership. Poor training. Everyone did as they saw fit. Most of the people I trained with as trainees left within four weeks bc you would have a manager send you home for being two minutes late on Friday never mind that you were out – more... probably until 2:30 am the night before on a job in BFE east Texas. Just don't work here!!! Don't!!! – less

A Day in the Life
Dispatcher (Current Employee), Richmond, KY – March 10, 2013
Pros: benefits
Cons: little to no breaks
A typical day at work began at 7am and ended at 9pm. I worked only customer complaints and scheduled field service appts. Lower Management really cared about the team.
I had a lot of excellent co workers.
The hardest part of the job was dealing with screaming customers.

Work here only if you need money badly.
Tech (Current Employee), Houstan, TX – February 19, 2013
Pros: days off so you can forget this place. people you meet on the job.
Cons: what is a lunch break, long hours.
I have been working here for about 8 months, This company is low as you can get. Like in other reviews yes you will be sitting in a room with other techs for a meeting and it will be the same thing, about your performance, bring jobs up to code, any real questions you or others ask will get shot down fast.
Most of the time the right side of the brain – more... dose not know what the left side is doing, rules change, we went threw 3 managers so far. Your lunch breaks will mostly be in a van driving to the next job but they tell you its mandatory, dispatch is a joke some times there are a small bit of good people in there. Training? You will learn more from veteran techs then you will from the trainer.
If you don't know how to add items to the oli list you'll starve, have to play the system.

Pretty much you are better off working at a big box store. – less

Dead company waiting to be bought
General Manager (Former Employee), Texas – February 5, 2013
Pros: free directv
Cons: everything else
I wouldn't send my worst enemy to work for them until they complete whatever sale they are preparing for.
The pay has gone down over the last 5 years and most of it's talent has fled to competitors. It is so bad that they have begged their competitors to stop taking their talent.
The problem is that this company has no leadership.

Horrible Company to Work for
Office Cube Dweller (Former Employee), Minnesota – January 3, 2013
Pros: free directv
Cons: poor pay, compensation, work environment and career opportunities
Underpay their employees and offer little opportunity for advancement. There is a "blame someone" atmosphere when something goes wrong and instead of offering coaching when a worker slips up, they just fire them.

Benefits are a joke (no paid vacation, expensive HC, very little PTO). Simply put, a struggling corporation that tries to cut back on amenities – more... regular employers provide just to get a better bottomline. Don't bother even applying here. – less

Didn't work there very long
Dispatcher/Tracker (Former Employee), Wyoming, MI – December 14, 2012
Typical day is 12 hours/3 days a week. It has a call center feel. Close contact with co-workers. Hardest parts are the constant deadlines you need to meet and the standards. Most areas don't meet the deadlines/standards. Pay is not that great. The job postings say holiday pay, comparable wages, things like that and that is not true.
