Very hard work!
Child Care (Former Employee), Bellevue, OHSeptember 10, 2012
Long hours. Hard work for a woman to do Concrete Finisher. I really enjoyed seeing the project start from dirt to a huge building. That's a lot to be proud of, Knowing I was a part of the structure.

Had the honor of caring for my uncle.
Caregiver Elderly (Former Employee), Deltona, FLAugust 20, 2012
Pros: giving of myself to others. learning a lot about the medical field.
Cons: not being able to do it for a longer period of time.
Caring for my uncle as well as being able to care for my family was a wonderful and very educational experience. I have always loved taking care of family but had never had the experience of being a caregiver. It was very rewarding as not only do I love working with people but I love caring for the elderly because it allowed me to give back. The most – more... difficult part of the job was when his health started to fail and he finally passed. – less

At home child-care provider
Child-Care Provider (Current Employee), Shawnee, KSJuly 16, 2012
Pros: work at home, set my own hours
Cons: no benefits, salary
I love the fact that I can work from home, be with my own child and be my own boss. I have learned a great deal of patience, multi-tasking and prioritizing. The hardest part of the job is not being around other adults. The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing I am making a positive difference/influence in the little kid's I watch lives'.

Pros: watch my children growup
Cons: long blurs
Raising my family is the most important job I have ever had, and taking time off work to raise my children has been the most rewarding. Although this is by far the hardest job I have ever had it was also the bet one I have had./

Stay-at-home-dad (Current Employee), Canton, ILApril 8, 2012
Pros: home with the kids, able to continue education
Cons: gaining no work experience
Overall being a stay-at-home-dad is very difficult, and having your wife be the sole provider is mentally and physically degrading. I love being with my kids, but, when they are young it is very difficult to get too much accomplished.

Dealt with major medical catastrophe of parent
Full Time Caregiver (Former Employee), Oxford, INApril 4, 2012
Pros: flexible schedule.
Cons: normal life as we knew it was gone.
A typical day was giving shower, dressing, checking vitals, cooking, feeding, checking blood sugars. Giving meds and insuling. Doing morning therapies, then start all over again with each meal. Scheduling doctors appts and manage time and travel. The hardest part of the job was knowing it would end some day. The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing – more... my mother would not ever have to enter a nursing home and knowing she was happy in her home. – less

Master Caregiver (Current Employee), Ballwin, MOMarch 23, 2012
I love taking care of my family. I also have plenty of time to teach them and help them grow. I have time to focus on school and have done well this past year. However I am ready to pursue my career. My family and I need insurance and other benefits that a full time mom and full time student just don't provide.

Mother (Former Employee), Stroud, ENGAugust 1, 2013
Pros: being able to use my initiative
Cons: very little time off
There was no typical day-every one was different and I enjoyed the variety I was able to bring to routines.
I learnt to make the most of life and to enjoy simple things. Together, with my husband,I learnt a great deal in time management
and how to order and structure each new day.
The hardest part was that we were not financially very well off but we – more... learnt to make a little go a long way.
The most enjoyable part of the job was helping them to develop and reach their full potential. – less
