Working at MyFlorida

Do you work at MyFlorida? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at MyFlorida? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at MyFlorida?

Any chance of getting the state of Florida to up your starting salary. I have considered relocation, but have found the starting salaries with the state well below market ( I have 14 years experience in my field)

I am in school about to grauate with my AAS in criminal justice major probation and parole. I wanted to become a partime counselor or probation working with juveniles. I still have young kids at home and can't work full time. I thought you have to have a degree to do this and people are telling me you dont.

I work for the government and have many years of experience as Executive Assistant, computers, secretary, cerical, etc.... I am looking for a part time job at home or in the field. I live in the Gainesville area. I work days but don't mind working a job for the holidays, at home work, or on the weekends.
