Successful casino with great management
Blackjack Dealer (Former Employee), Prior Lake, MNFebruary 23, 2014
Pros: casino atmosphere
Cons: graveyard shift, part time
This was a great job that was fun, yet serious. I had to be responsible in keeping track of the money and chips on the table, as well as making sure the integrity of the game was maintained.

Casino Hosting
Executive Casino Host (Former Employee), Prior Lake, MNNovember 1, 2013
Pros: company invest money to make the place exciting and attractive
Cons: team member cafeteria is nice but food quality is bad and also expensive
Mystic Lake Casino is the best casino in the state of Minnesota with a large selections of slots and ample blackjack tables to choose from. As a casino host there are many job duties to ensure we are giving our VIPs and regular guest the best quality of guest service. Mystic Lake Casino has many different jobs available for people to work there. Management – more... varies from different departments, so each department can be very good and others may seem to need more training. As a casino host the hardest part of this job to to try to keep everyone happy. Since we have so many VIPs and limited resources to offer them, it's difficult to please everyone. Working as a casino host has it's advantages such as meeting and getting to know great people, taking them to dinners and golfing. Each host will have their own identity, and for the most part everyone is very good at their position. – less

If you're under 18 you're fine, but above that you are free game for employment tricks. I liked my coworkers, but the rotating management team got to be a bit much.

Pros: my meals were low cost
Cons: lob was not secure because of the transportation
typical day at work was usually fun meeting new people. It was a very busy and fast pace environment. I bacsically learned to set up and run a restaurant. My co-workers were a very diverse group of people as well as the customers. the hardest part of the job was serving the customers on holidays because the food was free to employees. the most enjoyable – more... part was setting up because the customers enjoyed the presentation of the food. – less

Laundry Attendant (Current Employee), Prior Lake, MNJuly 26, 2012
Pros: excellent benefits
Cons: too many conversations about nothing.
A typical work day is very past paced and everything has to be done by punch out time so that there isn't that much past work from the day before. Everyday the work load is different just depends on what's going on for that week,

Exciting and busy place to work. Lots of customers to take care of, which is always fun and keeps you busy.
Hostess (Former Employee), Minnehaha CafeNovember 17, 2011
Pros: benefits, schedules and pay rates
Cons: noisy environment
This was probably the best job I have ever had. I loved working with tons of different people, and the very diverse customer base. The operations and security of being an employee here was very structured. You had to be on time, in uniform, and have a happy and professional personality. Most people, would find this structure difficult at a job, but – more... I enjoyed all the rules, and the skills I acquired while following these rules. Also, one of the best parts was the pay. This is the highest paying job I have ever had, and to be honest that was very nice. – less
