Title:
IT Application/Project Support (Business Systems Analyst)
Responsibilities:
Work with partners and in-house staff to gather requirements and determine process improvements and/or system changes needed to accommodate business needs. Will be given project tasks to perform and also asked to proactively seek any departmental areas needing improvement and suggest solutions to the team.
Work closely with Business Systems Analyst Manager and other departments acting as support for projects ranging from minor software updates to the planning and rollout of company-wide infrastructure or application changes.
Collaborate in or perform the research or design, testing, and implementation of new or upgraded applications needed for identified gaps in technology.
Create, modify and/or optimize SQL queries, views, triggers and stored procedures for business process and analysis needs.
Create or revise Crystal and/or SQL Reporting Services Reports as requested.
Create and update system documentation and user guides for current systems and processes, both for IT and other departments as needed.
Under limited supervision, manage daily work activities to ensure projects and tasks have continued and appropriate focus.
Nurture and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors and contractors.
Present a positive, professional, customer-focused image, communicating effectively to key team members and partners.
Provide end user support for various business management applications, either by direct testing and troubleshooting or working with software vendor support.
Assist in providing technical direction and guidance to users; assess and recommend training needs.
Delegate tasks to Helpdesk team when necessary to ensure support requests are handled in a timely manner.
May serve as backup to Helpdesk team on basic support tasks.

Qualifications:
Minimum of AA degree or technical certification required.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analyst or similar role.
Knowledge of concepts and methods of systems analysis, including information needs and requirements analysis.
Knowledge of concepts and methods of project management.
Self-starter.
Familiarity with basic network concepts and structure.
Knowledge of relational database and querying; strongly recommend MSSQL.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent activities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Solid time management and organizational skills.
Experience with business intelligence software, preferably Crystal Reports or MSSQL Server Reporting Services.
Comfort working on projects both independently and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic understanding of Microsoft Windows XP and 7.
Must demonstrate critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills.
Experience in the healthcare industry would be a plus. (Not required.)
