Expertise in statistical analysis and predictive modeling using SPSS and/or STATA
5 years of professional experience in health disparities research, program evaluation, and program performance management.
Design, implementation, operations and dissemination of findings from performance monitoring and scientific program evaluations through statistical data analysis and report writing. The ideal candidate will have quantitative and qualitative data analysis experience. Expertise in statistical analysis and predictive modeling using SPSS and/or STATA, as well as experience in community-based health program evaluation and health disparities research are required.
- Direct scientific work on program evaluations by designing credible evaluations, developing and administering data collection protocols, performing data processing and quality checks, conducting quantitative and qualitative data analyses, and writing reports;
- Communicate with and engages clients and stakeholders using appropriate communication mechanisms to ensure participation in and satisfaction with key evaluation activities (including identifying performance measures and evaluation questions, developing logic models, designing the evaluation materials and data collection instruments, and disseminating evaluation results);
- Participate in the writing of scientific papers in peer reviewed journals regarding cancer health disparities research, program performance management and program evaluation; and,
- Participate in processes to improve program performance management and portfolio analysis, as well as make recommendations as needed to resolve biostatistical issues pertaining to awards within the portfolio.
Preferred Educational qualification: Masters Degree in Public Health (MPH) or PhD/DrPH (or equivalent doctorate) in biostatistics, demography, epidemiology or related population sciences.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements: Knowledge of and analytical skills associated with general program evaluation methods and predictive analytics applied in clinical and/or community-based research settings; scientific expertise in program evaluation and the ability to independently manage scientific aspects of program evaluation projects. Excellent analytic, organizational, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
At least 5 years of professional experience in health disparities research, program evaluation, and program performance management.
