Project Manager (PMP) – Miami, FL

We are looking for a PMP and/or Six Sigma-certified leader, to play a critical role in managing infrastructure outsourcing project. The position is responsible for coordinating and partnering with cross-functional teams on delivery of client projects, including visibility into milestones, resources allocation, budget variance and adoption of best practices. This is the perfect role for a highly-collaborative individual who excels at wooing people, with a track record of successful engagements, lean transformations, and eagerness to support a variety of IT projects.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with functional leads to consistently deliver complex and time-critical client projects/programs within budget, using best-in-class project plans, resource planning and time tracking
  • Partner with business planning and accounting to ensure that project plan templates enable reliable forecasting of recognized revenue and software capitalization
  • Collect feedback from end-users, understand root cause for lack of adoption of key processes, and collaborate with system administrators and vendors to implement enhancements (features and/or processes) that will scale our operations
  • Prepare reports for upper management on status of projects/product portfolios, including baseline and cost variance projections
  • Ensure projects pipelines are up-to-date at each capacity planning meeting
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning on an as-needed basis

  • Ability to lead and/or facilitate cross-functional projects, and manage conflicts within groups
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts and technologies
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly moving startup environment

Resume Requirements:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • Six Sigma certification a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s degree from an AACSB-accredited university
  • Minimum 5-10 years of software project management and/or engagement management experience, including scheduling and budgeting
  • Minimum 3 years of experience designing and implementing business processes
  • Advanced computer skills required, especially with MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience with IT Infrastructure projects a strong plus
