Admission-Recruitment and Response Representative (Former Employee) – Wheeling, IL – March 17, 2016
My only complaint were the number of countless budget cuts that cause a delay in necessary administration and staffing hiring. Very had job to get I interview 3 times over the course of three years before I was hired. Once your in its golden. I only left because it was 50 plus miles away from where I lived. I promised a position would open at the campus location that was 10 miles away from home. I was doubtful considering the 3 years it took me to get that job.
the benefits are awsome
You have to deal with higher education bureaucracy
Adjunct Professor (Current Employee) – Chicago, IL – May 7, 2016
Horrible. Upper management including the President is running this place into the ground. This school was once a good school until they fired all of faculty and compensated the void with friends of the President from the for profit sector. The school is so bad when they have to advertise to get students. You don't see DePaul advertising for students. Horrible culture of distrust. I advised students to go elsewhere.
national college of education (Former Employee) – Chicago, IL – January 25, 2016
I worked for NLU in an administrative and then a faculty capacity for ten years. The faculty is caring, knowledgeable, flexible, and creative. I can't say the same for the rest of university. There are few supports for administrator job security, the university has expanded and contracted its staff several times, and leadership at the top is poor. The pay is comically low, and career advancement opportunities are limited.
Research Assistant (Former Employee) – Wheeling, IL – December 5, 2012
My supervisors were flexible, kind and understanding, work at your leisure, learned about management and political of a higher education. Management was flexible and cooperative, the co-workers highly educated people with diverse background find place. No hardest part at all, preparing meetings, reporting accomplishments.
Excellent environment and conducive to strong work/life balance.
Enrollment Recruiter (Former Employee) – McLean, Virginia – January 18, 2012
Working at National-Louis University was an excellent experience. This position catapulted me into the Human Resources field. The professional education in HR that I acquired from National-Louis University was unparallel and confidence building.
great work experince, great staff, team environment, focused environment.
