Financial Aid Representative II, Rapid City, SD - January 26, 2016
I feel that while employed with NAU, I have had multiple opportunities provided to me. I have a range of experiences both good and bad.
I have worked with many people during my time with NAU.
Typically my day consists of phone calls to assist students with questions or provide support for the student to complete the needed documents to secure financial aid while attending.
I have learned many different systems and programs that are offered to a student attending any university as well as many programs designed for NAU
Management with NAU is very supportive, however they seems to focus on females in lead roles.
My co workers are always supportive and provide immediate feedback. Again mainly Female co workers. I am a sole representative for two of the NAU campuses located in Minnesota.
The hardest part of my job is the lack of face to face conversations. everything is done over the phone and by computer. I miss the interaction with a student.
The most enjoyable part is getting the response from a student that is focused and engaged. They seem to want to be successful. I like being able to assist someone with their future
