it was a busy place to work. on a typical day u were doing car maintenance all day.working in a team environment is what makes a great working atmosphere.working with great people makes the work get done. the hardest part of the job was getting other people to be as fast as me. the most enjoyable part was the feeling of success at the end of each day.

a day at work is always busy, and exited, i learned how to work in a fast pace environment, i learned how to deal with a large amount of customers daily.I gained great customers service skills, and experience. I really enjoyed my time working for this company because of the great people that I've met during my time employed. Its a pretty big car rental location located at the airport with maybe about 100 employees onsite from the rental agents, shuttlers, to the cleaners, and washers. Excellent people to work with but a very challenging environment to be – more...  in. During my time working there I've acquired a lot of knowledge about dealing with people in all sorts of situation. Yah the work is pretty typical but the stress of dealing with tired, cranky, and the list goes on and on and on, can make a simple transaction into an extremely difficult situation sometimes. Through the opportunity from the lady that hired me and trained me and stood by me to help me, I've had the opportunity of a life-time to be able to develope an unkeen sense of patience and flexibility with people that I had never had before. I would like to thank that person for that opportunity she gave me. Little did she knew that she changed my life in a lot more ways than she'd realized. However, this corportation has been in restructuring mode for the past 10 years now and not for the better for us workers. We are unionized, "they" don't want to have anything to do with unions. Nuff said. Too bad that this is where its heading, but otherwise it was a great and enjoyable experience working there because of the "individuals" that are the real people running the company and not the bigots sitting in the back office thinking they've got everything figured out. – less

Dont work for this company unless you never want to see your family. Long hours, no appreciation, favoritism, lazy managers who dont care about you and no work/life balance.

Driving was fun. driver safety co-workers were great. nothing hard about this job at all. enjoyable part of job was driving various cars

I did like the job but if I continued to work there I would have skin cancer and the company is not willing to provide shelter from the sun, wind, rain, etc.

Alamo offer a great chance to excel in the company. It offers great hours, benefits as well as union security.

Loved the different cultures and everybody was friendly and helpful everybody was eager to help when they can/could.

A typical day at work was helping customers with their travel transportation. I learned how to talk and communicate with travelers who have different personalities. no opportunity to transfer or advance,brakes often interrupted

This company was a great place to work before it was taken over by Enterprise. Afterwards it became one of the worst job experiences I have ever had. It is impossible to advance in the company since they only promote from within Enterprise not any of the sister companies. Management is lazy and usually too preoccupied updating their twitter accounts – more...  rather than making sure work is run smoothly. Also they believe 8.50 an hour with few to no raises is the type of job you could retire at. Don't do this job if you have an option. – less
