Quality Assurance
Return Agent (Former Employee), East Elmhurst, NY – May 13, 2013
Basically, waiting for customers to return the vehicles they rented.

The hardest part about this job was checking the vehicles for damages. Some can be overlooked.
Reports have to be written on these vehicles, and a signature is required.
This job had rushes like no other, and that can also make it hard to catch damages, when you have lines of cars – more... blocking traffic. – less

My favorite job!
Customer Service and Sales Representative (Former Employee), Cleveland Hopkins Airport – April 1, 2013
My work consisted of providing individual service, collecting data, drawing up rental agreements, answering phones, setting up towing services, and much more. As top sales rep for three consecutive months, I learned to smile engagingly so that customers--especially those who had not yet reserved a car--would choose me over my co-workers. Management – more... was supportive and provided benefits and bonuses. I had friendly yet sometimes intense competition with my associates. Sometimes the hardest part of the job was a slow day or having no cars available to rent. I truly enjoyed having an endless fleet for walk-ups! Then I could actively work toward my goal and generate sales for the company. – less

Worst Job I have ever had.
Rental Sales Agent (Former Employee), Tampa, Florida Airport – March 22, 2013
Pros: some very good co workers, management.
Cons: those vouchers!!! no life with those hours. never saw my family or friends.
Was convinced to come over from another company to double my income. What was not told to me was I would be working the 5pm - 2am shift with very little chance of moving to a better shift because of seniority. ( I left a 10am - 6pm shift with the previous company).Very little chance of making quota or commissions because the night shift handles so many – more... International customers who have vouchers that include just about every upgrade to make money on. Made about half of what I made with the former rental car company not double. – less

Boring and Annoying
Greeter (Current Employee), Arlington, VA – March 11, 2013
Pros: easily accessible, people, easy workload
Cons: sneaky managers, stiff scheduling, no training
The only good thing I like about this job is the people I work with. Once you choose a schedule, don't ever expect to be able to adjust it unless you've been in the company for at least 20 years. The pay is better than minimum wage but less that anything you would be able to live a decent life on. The actual work is pretty simple which is good since – more... they offer absolutely no training and you'll most likely be working alone by your third day. Management is cool to your face but all they do is secretly send emails about things they never speak directly to you about. The hardest part about the job is dealing with customers when there are no cars. The best thing about this job is leaving. – less

Pros: discounts on rentals
Cons: short breaks
Work constantly making sure customers are satified renting nice clean vehicles, improvising ways to make sure customers are pleased with our services, communicating well with management and co-workers making sure our job is done timely fashion, hardest part is when we're not able to oblige the customers, and most enjoyable is when we do

Working as a gate agent is meeting people one the edge of starting their adventure. It's exciting. Smile and they smile. The hardest part is when a coulple trys to use one person as the renter while using the other person's credit card.

Fun to Interact with customers
Return Agent (Current Employee), Huntsville, AL – December 3, 2012
The job pretty much can be summed up as checking the vehicles for damages, gas, making sure the customer is satisfied with their experience, and then printing out the receipt for the returning customer in a timely fashion.

The coworkers are fun and easy to get along with. The hardest part of the job would probably dealing with the lack of communication – more... between management and the other employees. But the most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the various personalities in small conversation with the customers. – less
