Same job combined into mentoring
tutor in the SAEP department (Former Employee) –  Hattiesburg, MSJune 10, 2017
This job had the same aspects of the mentoring that I was allowed to do for the Student Government Association. The only difference with this job is I was paid and it was more school work oriented. I thoroughly enjoyed being a mentor and tutor while at USM, it allowed me to grow as a person and showed me a true passion of mine, which I will take with me everywhere I go.

Will work with some of the greatest minds in sports. Any and all positions are very competitive and it's is tough to move from department to department. As a NCAA employee (not contract staff) you are treated very well with great benefits.

Worked in Infractions Department.
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Indianapolis, INOctober 7, 2015
Mostly typing letters and forms to send to the universities and colleges. Really interesting way that the NCAA required to write correspondence. They have their own way to write correspondence. Also to see how the student-athletes that commit infractions are punished. I loved all my co-workers. NCAA employees are all like family. I think the hardest part of my job was when we had to send out hundreds of mailers. Most enjoyable was during Final Four and the whole company would go to the games.
Pros
People were great.
Cons
When NCAA introduced a new President and eliminated jobs it became difficult.
