Before you go to boot camp you need to be in shape. Don't let anybody tell you "don't worry about it, they'll get you in shape at boot camp." If you don't show up in shape you are going to be absolutely miserable for the two months you're at Basic and you could even seriously be kicked out for being a disgusting fatbody. Don't be that guy, get your behind in the gym! Taking your fitness seriously can take you far in the military.
