Mission driven lender.
AVP (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCNovember 4, 2017
Each work day is different from the next. The company provides financing to rural electric cooperatives across the country. The most enjoyable part of the job is solving a problem for your client. The organization is very flat and there is not a lot of opportunity for advancement.
Pros
Opportunity to provide innovative financing structures. Company is mission-driven.
Cons
Focus on traning and development, but very limited growth, advancement. Salaries are low relative to other companies.

Worst Place to Work...EVER!!!!
Paralegal (Former Employee) –  Dulles, VAFebruary 22, 2015
Use to be nice, family/employee oriented. People were friendly and talked to each other. After move to new location things changed drastically. You learn what you need/want by being proactive. Organization/department structure is bizarre due to lack of knowledge of how to structure. Terrible managers who do not know how to manage people. Manage by coercion, fear, and exclusion. Discriminatory practices. Favoritism. Not about what you know, but who you know, how much you can brown-nose, and who you can throw under bus in order to succeed. Many positions do not translate to real world. Jobs stay the same, so risk losing certain skills. Many become lackadaisical and perform only minimal requirements. SVPs/managers gossip with subordinates and allow subordinates to malign other employees without offering offended party opportunity to have a say. Extremely cliquish which does not foster good work environment. Must look over your shoulder and watch your back at all times!!
Pros
None
Cons
Many! Horrible narcissistic executives/managers, allow execs/managers to run amouk with their own agenda, no promotions for the deserving, make you feel less than you are, no raises, minimal merit increases if lucky, blatant favoritism, discriminatory practices, no telework & never close so expect you to come to work in blizzard conditions, no empathy
