The Columbus, Ohio health care provider is one of the largest pediatric care centers in the US. The hospital has some 360 licensed beds and offers services in areas such as behavioral health, cardiology, – more... hospice, orthopedics, and surgery. It has roughly 1,000 health care providers on its medical staff and its emergency department treats more than 85,000 patients each year. The hospital also operates outpatient and specialty clinics in the area and a research institute which is investigating gene therapy. Nationwide Children's Hospital opened its doors in 1892.
