Terrible , lied to about unpaid gas checks an missing funds month after month !!
The working hours vary on the school and the distance to you. for example, it seriously helps to show up an hour prior to start time in order to set up. if your start time is at 8, you arrive at 7 and if it takes you an hour to get to the school, you need to leave at 6 etc.
you shoot until your set is done, personally, i pride myself on being done by lunch/nap time, no matter the size. you have to adjust your time as you see fit, if someone wants 60 kids done, and has a start time of say, 9am, that won't work.
lunch time is usually a couple of hours...at least one will be spent setting up the records. and then you come back to sell the packages, usually around 3-6pm
if you manage your time well, it's extremely doable, and an afternoon nap can make up for an early start. any school over about two hours from my home, i request a hotel if it's more than a one day shoot.
so, no, this isn't "8-5" it might by 6-6 or 9-4....it all depends on the day and the school.

Decent. It was 8-5 and lots of overtime at first due to the lack of productivity in my department
