Navistar provides its high performance diesel engines to an array of global customers including Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Volkswagen, Nissan, Volvo and Land Rover for use in commercial trucks, pickups, vans and sport utility vehicles. Navistar also produces diesel powerplants for commercial and passenger marine vessels, agricultural equipment, – more... construction vehicles and a variety of other off-road vehicles and equipment.
Navistar currently operates six engine-manufacturing plants around the world. It produces in-line six-cylinder diesels in Melrose Park, Illinois (USA); V8 turbodiesels in Indianapolis, Indiana (USA); V8 and V6 powerplants in Huntsville, Alabama (USA); in-line four- and six-cylinder diesels in Santo Amaro, Sao Paulo (Brazil); in-line four-cylinder engines in Jesus Maria, Cordoba (Argentina); and in-line four-cylinder diesel in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sol (Brazil).
