I am in GA I was told under 6K in collections. They work with you on payment arrangements etc.

As far as my knowledge you can't owe Navy Federal in collection, and your consumer debt has to be under $7,500.

I don't know about credit, but in the Winchester, VA call center at least, if you have over $3000 in delinquent debt you may not get hired. They generally try to work with you to get scheduled payments going with the debt collector tho. I know this because this happened to me.
