Warehouse Associate, Southaven, MS 38671 - February 14, 2017
My typical day at work would include retrieving my assigned Order Picker in the morning and obtaining the first orders of the day printed out before the morning team meetings. After the meetings, I would begin to retrieve the necessary parts listed on each order and deliver them all accordingly along with the orders to the packers all through the day. On some days if I finished early, I would help the packers pack the remaining parts to keep the team up to speed. Sometimes I would be given a higher priority to collect parts for walk-in customers according to given orders and on rare occassions I have trained new employees to pick parts, pick hazmat (hazardous materials), or to pack parts. The environment, even on some more serious days, was always light-hearted due to the supervisors and employees upbeat attitudes. The hardest part of the job usually came after lunch when orders would pick up due to the mid-afternoon demand of client companies. What I did enjoy the most were enteractions between employees. No one was too uptight to motivate anyone.
