CDL Driver (Current Employee), Gainesville, GAFebruary 27, 2014
I make deliveries and pickups on rental equipment and offer familiarization of the equipment upon delivery. I also work inside the store as welI and can facilitate any equipment rental need such as quotes, contracts, releases and so forth.

It is everything but normal. I call on different customers and meet with them about different projects and possible ways to help them get their jobs completed.

Major headache unreasonable expectations should have stayed as OTR
Class A CDL Driver (Current Employee), Syracuse, NYDecember 26, 2013
Pros: having a job
Cons: delivering to nes rochester branch
Life as a NES driver can really become a nightmare when management forgets to communicate the details about an equipment drop.

As a CDL driver I am part of the back bone of the company, but get treated like a red haired step child, NES is lacking in the respect department in general. here is the run down which may help you decide if you want to peruse – more... a career as a driver. Not receiving proper notification of scheduled over-time. Not receiving training how to implement new procedures. Higher medical and dental coverage premiums than most other companies. Outdated equipment and trucks uniforms that don't stand up to the wear of the job. No praise for doing a good job of staying late. Criticism on things that are minor, such as placement of cones on vehicle when parked in the yard! No raises, no bonuses no time off for holidays! – less

Roll Off Driver (Former Employee), Rochester, NYDecember 20, 2013
Pros: forklift license certification
Cons: poor management
Roll-Off Driver InvoluntaryTermination on 10/23/2013

a typical day at work....is fast paced, multiple task to keep you busy.

what you learned...great hands on training

management...is deceving and terminate employment if you use

your insurance benefits, at least in my case.

your co-workers...are easy to get along with as long as there are enough – more... hours to go around.

the hardest part of the job...moving on to something else with unfinish tasks waiting to be completed. – less

Sales Representative (Former Employee), West Palm Beach, FLDecember 11, 2013
Pros: good products and great ethics drives safety and a sense of being home
Cons: too nosey, reports should be for local sales use, management scrutinizes too much, true reflection should be in sales numbers
OVERALL OK BUT DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE COUNTRY FARE BETTER AND CAN EFFECT CORPORATE PRICE STRUCTURE AND THAT WILL IMPACT LOCAL LEVEL

** stars Roll-Off Driver (Current Employee), Rochester, NY – December 20, 2013 Avoid this company after 90 days you might get terminated like me around the holiday season! Management wil terminate employment for any personal reason, even if you have good work performance. a typical day at work....is fast paced what you learned...great hands on training your co-workers...are easy to get along with the hardest part of the job...dealing with an unreasonable boss and demands the most enjoyable part of the job...starting the day

Cons: little room for advancement
Great Company that really cares about their employees. Fast paced work environment, but thats just part of the job. Not many layers of management, so decisions are made pretty quickly. Excellent team atmosphere. very rewarding company to work for

Good for work and hours
CDL A Truck Driver (Current Employee), Wappingers Falls, NYJanuary 20, 2013
NES offers steady work week, home daily. Company puts most focus on when employees make "mistakes" and none on all the good work done day in and day out. If you are written up for something it never goes away. There is no retirement or savings plans.

Good place to work
Rental Coordinator (Current Employee), PAMarch 29, 2012
Pros: pay is good, benefits okay
Cons: understaffed, hours are too long
This is a good place to work; I've learned much about the construction industry's equipment needs and made many contacts over the years here. It's busier during the warmer months than the colder ones typically.
