A small company that became big and lost it's way
IT (Current Employee), VAOctober 7, 2014
Pros: salary is fairly good
Cons: fear and intimidation rule the workplace environment, crazy vacation policy
A small VA based company founded by three geeks in the 90's
Specialized in network operations almost entirely back then.Because of their size management was easy to access, and there was a excellent rapport with and between employee's. It was however a geek based network ops dominated company

two years ago they won two large DOD contracts ( Service Desk primarily ) and have swelled to over 300 employee's These employees are diverse, not geeks, and are "normal" working stiff
IT people.

What was a great company to work for then became a dog-eat-dog
office politics entity. High turnover, and fear and intimidation rule the day. Recently sold to company called Haystax, so Netcentric's really in fact, no longer exists. The old management remains so beware.

If you are contemplating joining this company, think twice. This is now a totally different company and besides, it really no longer exists except for the transition period to Haystax which is ongoing.

A sad way for an otherwise great company to have ended. I don't mean sad for it being sold, but sad for how it lost it's way .

Money will do that I suppose.
