A typical work day/night would consist of doing proactive work on customer's servers. We would check to ensure programs are updated such as antivirus, backup solution and retention policies, and make sure windows is up to date. After most proactive work we would look at tickets generated by the NOC system about backups, system shutdown, high memory usage, low disk space.
I learned more about backups working here like different programs used to backup and knowing how their backups work.
Nightshift manager was very helpful on making sure us employees have everything we needed to complete our tasks.
Co-workers were very, very helpful when management was either not around or busy.
The hardest part of that job was working nights at first, but got easier .The people i worked with on nights was the most enjoyable part of the job.
