The people are great and the compensation is strong. The best company to work for in fractional ownership or aircraft management. It's incredibly resourceful for its clients and the people care about each other and the customer.
A dispatcher is just a pawn, the company has them there in the event a fiery crash occurs. And you get sent to prison the rest of your life. This company loves to throw people under the bus.. A crash is overdue, since this company could careless about safety. If you are a white man with no personality, and knows how to cower and kiss rear ends. This job is for you.
NetJets takes very good care of their customers and expects the same from all team members who are awarded handsomely for their hard work. Core goals and mission statements are clear. I like the diversity of it being an international company. NetJets are leaders in the private business jet industry.
The position I was in requires someone with prior knowledge of the company. As I came from outside the company from a completely different industry, it was difficult to walk into the position and self-teach yourself about the industry and understand the job strategy.
High profile company owned by Berkshire Hathaway, top of the field in executive aircraft usage. I was proud to be associated. Quarter share aircraft companies are highly competitive and the position of China on the world stage effected our company. At one time, there was a concerted effort to expand into China, but it was postponed indefinitely due to unstable conditions in China. At that time, it was decided to shut down the maintenance function at the Luncan Airport facility and approximately 100 employees were downsized. Currently, the company is concentrating on growing the charter services.
Four weeks of vacation after 10 years; great benefits.
Too much turnover of upper management personnel, unnerving, upsetting.
Looks pretty on the outside but the inside is rotten
maintenance (Current Employee) – Columbus, OH – April 9, 2017
While the company looks pretty on the outside, it is rotten inside. Management does not care about its employees. You are only filling a spot. They play favorites. They will lie and deceive you. There is a reason why so many departments are going union.
Listen to many vendors that deal with multiple departments and they will say the same thing. That throughout the company there are many of the same concerns and people truelove dislike it there.
I worked here as a sales and marketing intern and it was an absolutely great experience. I learned a lot about how a large corporation works and had a lot of opportunities to shadow and speak with the higher up's within the company. Overall, a great internship experience.
-Safety is most important. -A challenging, fast-paced work environment, with world class service down to the smallest detail. -Management works hard and leads by example. -The culture is one of family, hard work, and life fulfillment. -The hardest part of the job was also the most enjoyable part and that was to find ways to improve what we do to give the owners a superior experience at a fair price.
Training, education opportunities (including but not limited to lunch and learns)
Great environment to learn Aviation. Very demanding work load. A work day is 10 plus hours. Management is always there to answer questions. Co workers come from all background, giving much needed knowledge in all aspects of the service industry.
Flight center employee (Former Employee) – Columbus, OH – April 6, 2016
No real work life balance. You are expected to put work before family and beliefs. The flight center is 24/7 so you could be thrown into any shift. No holidays. Many procedures are hap hazard and change constantly because they do not work. Employee satisfaction was never in the vision of the company. It could eventually improve, but as of now, it is not a stimulating environment.
Manager (Current Employee) – Columbus, OH – February 10, 2016
Senior Management is out of touch with how the Operation works. Their answer to improve performance is to pass out beatings until things improve. Very stressful work environment. Groups within the organization are very siloed and cooperation between teams is scarce. Everyone is so focused on hitting their metrics and they don't care if their actions are detrimental to another groups area of concern. There is a severe lack of recognition of the hard work and effort that employees put into the company. Merit raises are less than the cost of living increases. Current company merit and compensation policies do not promote long term employment.
Unfair pay practices, merit raises vertually non-exsistant. Very stressful work environment.
I have been in many companies in my career. NetJets Management is definitely not concerned with the people that work in the company. In many departments, the turnover of people is excessively high. Essentially, the resounding theme is that there is no advancement opportunities nor does management recognize individuals for their performance. Company reviews of all employees pointed to these downfalls and management has made little attempts to rectify this situation. Trust between management at NetJets and the employees is the worst I have ever seen.
