Has absolutely gone down hill...
Anonymous (Current Employee) –  Morrisville, NCOctober 27, 2017
Netsertive used to a be a fun and positive place to be and work. Believe it or not, I used to look forward to going to work in the mornings. Unfortunately over the past 6 months or so, things have continued to go downhill. There are extreme miscommunications and disconnects between internal teams resulting in messy, barely there solutions to problems. Teams don't know or understand what other teams do. The constant problem at Netsertive is upper management keep diving head first into new technologies or offers to clients without any knowledge of how it will work out (hint: it never works out well). Some employees are busting their humps all day without even taking lunch breaks, other people are twiddling their thumbs with nothing to do. It's a mess and I believe it's only going to get worse. They are some wonderful people that work there but unfortunately they are the ones that are suffering the most, while the C-suite nest eggs grow.
Pros
free lunch, christmas party
Cons
culture is going downhill, lots of people leaving, pay is not great

Productive and fun place to work
Helpdesk Intern (Former Employee) –  Morrisville, NCSeptember 18, 2017
Awesome place to work!! The work culture is amazing. The people make it an enjoyable place to work. There are intern programs and the engineers utilize Agile methodology where everyone has a say including the intern. The overall company is relaxed and has a Google-esque feel.
Pros
Free Lunches, Paid Outings, Ping Pong table, Free breakfast everyday

Regional Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  Raleigh, NCApril 17, 2017
Great company with good training and culture. As a regional manager the travel was extensive and included 6-8 hour drives. Did not fly often as company had restrictions on how much you could spend on air travel. Because a lot of the travel was booked last minute could not stay below the company minumum spend.
Pros
Good Culture, Fair compensation.
Cons
Travel

Still a Young Company
Sales (Former Employee) –  FieldJanuary 30, 2017
Good company with great technology but little support for outside sales from marketing. The culture is good, but there can be silos in departments that can sometimes make it hard to collaborate and win business.

Netsertive strongly desires to cultivate and grow their employees. They have an excellent culture with the freedom to express yourself as an individual, but also the collaboration to efficiently get the job done.
Pros
Tuesday free lunches, ping pong table, committee to make fun events
Cons
Some departments are underfunded or overworked.

Great company to work for, very small. I worked in home goods and the team was great. Everyone was very encouraging, but they can be strict on some policies. Overall, great company.

Awesome Place to Work and Learn

A lot of the executives come from Fortune 500 companies. Every person is outgoing and the company invests a lot into developing its employees. Great place to learn and grow as a professional.

What you see is what you Don't get
sales (Former Employee) –  NCSeptember 29, 2015
When one starts here, one will hear sermons about how close the family is and how the company is run like a family. One will soon find out that the family is closed -- you're the outsider. They're clickish, gossipy, regimented, unchanging. Also: Cheap, nitpicky.
They don't have an open door policy, and what is said in confidence anywhere and at any level will be known everywhere at every level within days.
They claim to have a proprietary engine -- Not. They run PPC campaigns like any other agency with little experience. Their ads are totally generic and unchanging. Their claims -- even to internal people -- are unfounded and not true. No one knows the facts/data because they don't even run their own historical data.
There are managers here who are so pompous and egotistical, who won't listen to input, who won't ever change their minds, who won't ever go away because they're keeping everyone at the executive level in tact until they go public. These are the people who need to be fired, yet they're the only ones with job security.
Pros
free lunch if you're inside
Cons
no consistent communication. no good healthcare option. Overfrugal.

Entry-Level Company, Revolving Door, Unable to Keep Top Talent
Operations (Former Employee) –  MorrisvilleDecember 27, 2014
This is a good place to work if you need a job, or are just entering the work force. Focus is on fun, fun, fun - however wages are not sufficient to attract or keep top talent, and most employees leave within a year or two once they gain experience and qualify for better pay and benefits. Constant revolving door in Sales, Engineering and Account Management. Account managers burn out quickly due to overload. Company does not invest in training but instead asks older employees to teach newcomers. You will be pressured to volunteer your time outside of working hours with no compensation so if you have a family, beware. Poorly defined career paths and unequal playing fields mean management plays favorites with promotions for the chosen few while promised raises and bonuses for the rest generally do not materialize. Goals and information are often not clearly communicated or equally shared, leading to rumors and fighting between the departments. The product works and customers are generally happy, however lack of cutting edge innovation and competitive pricing means Netsertive's pace is slowly starting to unravel. Advice to Senior Leadership: Ditch the "start-up mentality" and start thinking and behaving like a major player.
Pros
Free Lunch, Free Coffee, 3 Weeks Vacation Plus Holidays, Blue Cross Insurance
Cons
Doesn't invest in their employees, or pay competitive wages to keep top talent

Fast moving tech company
Client Success (Current Employee) –  MorrisvilleOctober 7, 2014
The fastest moving environment I've ever been in - lots of growth, lots of change and it seems like we win a new award every 3 months. The marketing automation industry is pretty exciting and really big.

The people here are awesome - helpful, professional, care about the company and clients. There is a lot of focus on culture and work environment and it feels genuine, not forced. Clients can be tough sometimes, but mostly are really happy with our company and our product.

Hardest part of the job is how quickly things change - lots of hiring, new accounts, new processes etc., can be be tough to keep up with. In that sense its not for everyone and if you are looking for a comfortable, slower pace this is not the place for you. On the other hand it seems like over half the people I work with have been promoted once or twice already and the company is only a few years old, so there are lots of opportunities
Pros
lots - excellent people, cool office, great product, free lunches, casual dress
Cons
pretty demanding workload (but I'd personally rather have that than not)

Territorial and Insular - most expensive place you'll ever work!
Regional Sales Manager (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXJuly 9, 2014
My team is great. I've met some of the most talented sales people in my career here. But this is where careers come to die. Territories are too large, management compartmentalizes tasks with no regard for the time they take, you'll constantly be hounded about CRM activity (even nights, weekends, holidays, etc).

You live on a base salary primarily with an occasional commission. Sales cycles are longer than most marketing sales companies because of lack of branding and product diversity.

You'll definitely sharpen your sales skills. The job forces you to brush up on technique because you have absolutely no advantage in name recognition. In fact few people can even repeat "Netsertive" when they hear it.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the team building and relationships formed. Despite the high rate of sales employee churn, you make some great friends and contacts. The autonomy is nice too.

The hardest parts, volatile pay structure (you'll blow through savings and have a hard time paying bills). If you have a family, don't work here!
Pros
Autonomy, team relationships, development of sales technique
Cons
Poor compensation, benefits (medical is insanely expensive), insular management, uphill battle with no name branding, marketing is poor, huge territories

Sales Executive - Key Accounts (Current Employee) –  Charleston, SCOctober 3, 2013
Great work environment, great people and a good product.
They have a good name in the industry, but some internal processes are not very good and make it difficult to sell.
