Great product and people, difficult culture

This is a great job for people who thrive on adversity and want to be pushed to their limits on a daily basis. Most of the reps and managers at Nevro are high-quality, passionate individuals that genuinely care about patients and the mission of the company. The product is best-in-class and there is a substantial body of clinical data to support claims of superiority.

SCS is a very competitive space and it's sometimes unclear that leadership understands or appreciates the diverse set of challenges faced in the field. Getting new accounts set up and pricing approved with Nevro is often a long and unreasonably difficult process. All reps receive quarterly quotas that ramp quickly, and continue to increase substantially over time. Regional managers appear to have very little autonomy to run their teams. Terminations for under-performance are common.

Autocratic culture, potential for burnout
