job fairness
temporary PSP (Current Employee), Memphis – May 7, 2013
Pros: getting paid every 2 weeks
Cons: unfair practices by supervisors.
Supervisors give favorite employees full weekly hours while cutting hours from least favorite.
Supervisor allow 1 clerk in a 5 clerk department to get over 100 every 2 weeks, while keeping the others 4 under 70 every 2 weeks because of supervisor and clerks personal relationship.

work place
De-Kitting (Former Employee), Haltom City, TX – April 22, 2013
Pros: steady work during busy season
Cons: the company isn't as good as it thinks it is
They had the toughest security I have seen, nothing metal could be worn, no zippers, no jewelry not even your wedding rings), no metal on your shoes etc. Security to get into the parking lot, security to get into the break area and main entrance and the metal detectors to get in to the work place. with armed police walking around now and the on to of – more... patrolling security. It was overkill if you ask me. And they push for production constantly, watching your numbers and if they fall the relocate you until you are out of a job. – less

They'll get rid of you before you get hired in permanently. Management never knows what is going on.

This job leaves a lot to be desired
Machine Operator/Inventory Control (Former Employee), North Haven, CT – March 20, 2013
Pros: the employees were one of the highlights of this job, some of the work was interesting
Cons: management was insufficient, no job advancement, poor raises
This company would have a lot of potential if all the management were on the same page, the employees made the job worthwhile.

Don't do it
General Manager (Former Employee), Meriden – February 19, 2013
Cons: everything
Don't do it unless you want them to OWN you. Working 60 hours is not out of the ordinary. They don't care about people. Its all about making the single owner more money.

DAY TO DAY SURVIVAL
order picker (Former Employee), Machesney Park, IL – January 15, 2013
Pros: it's a job
Cons: not stable employment
The job is easy and relative to pay scale. New Breed does not invest in their employees. Very high turnover. Too stressful for the pay. Hours change frequently from overtime to sending you home because of lack of work. Management is wishy washy. If you do something wrong as a temp, even though you are making rate or better, are there everyday and on – more... time, they fire you. Instead of investing in a favorable prospective employee they would rather hire someone else. Most times you don't know you did something wrong until you get home and get a phone call. It's survival with ongoing challenges with hopes of surpassing to work another day! – less

Fast pace work environment with constant challenges
Shift Manager / Operation Manager (Former Employee), Fort Worth, TX – January 14, 2013
Pros: internal advancements and associates interfaced with gm's
Cons: work schedule not stable and temp staff training
Drive and implemented Lean initiatives in 3 (Reverse, Forward, Repair) warehouses. Inventory levels range 2M-600K monthly. Align procedures and processes to acquire TL90000 certification.
Ability to identify and reduce waste from product flow and processes using Lean Six Sigma principles. Responsible for 450+ employees and 9 supervisors. Management – more... style consistent and fair. Hardest part of job was establishing a high level of trained associates with 60% temp staff. The most enjoyable part of job was mentoring leads to supervisor/engineering positions. – less

Fast pace work place.
Level 2 Repair Technician (Current Employee), Fort Worth, TX – September 9, 2012
Pros: learning about new technologies.
Cons: not enough opportunity for advancement.
I have found job security with this company. But I would have to say that the job that I do is not for everyone. The quota is high and unless you are good with your hands you would have a hard time repairing and replacing new cosmetics on the handsets that have to be done. But when you build up to the pace that is required you can find it to be rewarding. – more... I have excelled in this type of work but I understand that unless you can grow in a company then a employee will only last for so long, I desire more opportunity, So I look elsewhere in hopes that I will have the room to grow with a company that will recognize my worth. I have much to offer the right employer. – less

Highly productive,goal oriented work environment.
Order Verifier: Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Former Employee), Memphis, TN – August 22, 2012
Pros: repetitive, diversity socially and racially, training using personal strategies.
Cons: parking, too frequent changes in a short period of time.
My day of work would normally begin with an over view of the previous day's productivity with the managers, to discuss what is to be expected of the day as far as operational goals, and maintaining or exceeding productivity.
After the meeting I would proceed to my daily task with a sense of assurance and quality experience, knowing exactly how to apply – more... myself in a way that was definitely expected of me for achieving my daily producitivity.

over the length of employment I have learned to apply my self to always exceed what is expected of me, or simply meet my production level to the best of my ability. I have learned to be more diverse, goal oriented, and to always focus on helping provide a safe work place environment for me as well as for my fellow coworkers; and to be more strategic in meeting what ever goal may be trying to accomplish.

The hardest part of my job was incorporating new tasks in a short, or sometimes no amount of time, and still be able to maintain the requested productivity standards. However, that was always productive for me because it allowed me the possibilities to create strategies to advance and achieve my expected goals for all my assignments.

What I enjoyed most about the job was the fact that I was part of a successful team/company that was growing, that I was working in an environment that focused on work safety for all employees, and it was very diverse socially and etnictly. And to be working with great managers and coworkers. – less
