Coming from the same industry(telecommunications) I was making 16 an hour and monthly bonuses of approximately $100 to $200 on top of that. Not to mention another bonus every three months of approximately $400-$600, double time and a half on holidays, plenty of PTO, free cable and internet service, flexibility, and great benefits. This job does not sound like it pays well.

First of all it isn't a great company to work for! You even noted stress as a con! What stress do you mean? Any job that causes stress isn't a "great" job. What do you mean by good pay? REALLY maybe good pay 30 years ago, not now :)

I also worked for NEWCorp. Paid to get a headset, corded phone, second phone line. This was the worst training experience I ever encountered. Outdated information, unprofessional trainers, 9 different portals that they dont fully train you on. and high stress. I started with a class of 28 and by the the 3 week it was 11, 4th week it was 8 and by week 6 it was 6. The trainers had system issues and phone problems. My service provider had an outage for day. NewCorp demands that a your service provide should repair your problem in 2-4 hours the same day. Which I find unreasonable because DirectTV doesnt even have same day appointments. The trainers said they have never seen a same day appointment. They verified that service provider had a outage in very large area. They release 3 other ppl that day because the service provider didnt have the problem fixed by NewCorp time frame. This was after 6 weeks of training. They even let one person go she logged on late because her father past away they said no exceptions. I am glad I am no longer with them. Bless those that think NewCorp is a great company.

You and I had similar experiences only I made it to the evaluations and oh boy...what is the purpose of it! How can one tell by the top of week 3 if someone is competent enough to answer phones and follow scripts? Be glad that you were released, if their training was this misleading I don't even want to know what production is like. I hope you found a better company. Convergys, Alpine Access, West at Home, VIPDesk, etc. Google is your friend! Good luck!
