New Leaders supports its employees, compensates them well with salary and benefits, and allows them to have a functional work-life balance. However, New Leaders fails to connect the vast majority of its employees directly with the execution of its organizational mission, and most of the work being done at New Leaders does not directly impact the students served by New Leader trained principals. New Leaders also has a culture of teams interacting virtually, as many employees work from home. The most enjoyable part of working with this organization were the people who work there. I very much enjoyed team interaction and team retreats, which focused on reflection on personal work style and collaboration. Unfortunately, opportunities to meet face-to-face with teammates in this organization may be rare.
