Typical day is spent balancing all accounts and purchases, both online and in house and making sure all receiving and payments are completed. Co-workers are good people and hard working. Management is understanding and flexible. The hardest part of my job is keeping up with the workload which can be daunting as i am the only one doing this work - with – more... no backup. Its no stress waking up to come to work because of the great relationship with colleagues.

Good security in the public sector and changes for advancement are limited

A typical day at work for me would be processing several purchase orders for the agency and meeting with vendors. I learned how to go out and find the lowest bidder to get items requested at a lower price. I had one co-worker under my supervision during my tenure with the City of New York. I worked really well with all my co-workers. I loved this position – more... with so much passion that there were never any hard parts of this job. I work smart and delegate tasks based on accountability in order to achieve a productive professional atmosphere in the working environment. Nepotism strongly interferes with a the above statement, which is why I screen employees productivity periodically.

We would go to each company and review their records to see if they were doing what they are suppose to be doing. We were auditing their records. And we worked well with management. The hardest part of the job was leaving it because it was a temporary position for college.

Working with a variety of clients from recreation centers to parks to concerts supervisors are realistic , job security

Had been engaged in several projects as a translator and cultural consultant dealing with publishing booklets targeting Russian immigrant community on consumer affairs, emergency preparedness etc.

A typical day at work is sorting and preparing the mail to go thru out the agency. We deal with high volume mail certified and express mail also we do messenger runs. I really enjoyed working for the City of New York. The people, the culture and the work enviornment created by the City is a one of a kind work experience, that you can only experience in New York City.

I would greatly consider accepting a job offer. The office was a organized and minimal stress environment.

Great job, great people. I enjoyed the position, but it is always busy in NYC, so after 8 years I decided to go back to the 'burbs'

I enjoy working here..great money. It is great working for them I enjoy it a lot. Very easy work. The co-workers are very easy going.

I had a great time while working here. I gained a lot in my skill set from all the knowledgable things i was taught at this particular job. It was short term because i was a temp so to say.
