Most employees of NY Kids Club are hired right out of college. This makes for a fun and vibrant company where making mistakes is okay and there are many opportunities for training.
The company is also quickly growing and, relative to many industries, there is lots of opportunity for growth.
With these two factors combined, though, the management is struggling. Opportunities for promotion can seem arbitrary and very dependent on circumstance (spots only open up when someone else is leaving, so you need to be in the right place at the right time.) The management at NYKC is unorganized and overwhelmed. There is a HUGE problem with morale at the moment, as most middle managers feel unsupported.
