Auxiliary Police Officer, Queens, NY - December 24, 2014
A typical day volunteering for the NYPD is usually going on patrol in my community. As an Auxiliary Police Officer I have to always be on the lookout for anything suspicious to keep the community safe. Volunteering has helped me improve my social skills. The hardest part of the job is looking professional, and keeping your composure at all times. The most enjoyable part of the job is interacting with people.
