I too have had a strange experience with HR. I submitted my resume about 6 months ago and recently received a call from HR in Atlanta. Somehow my resume got "lost" because one of my responses on their on-line system did not match their criteria. I had great phone interviews with both HR and the hiring manager. They told me they're willing to pay my relocation and the bonus from my old employer. They want to fly me to Atlanta for the interview. I s/b excited because it would be a promotion, but I'm a little hesitant. I'm concerned that this position has been open for so long in a city like Atlanta. Does anyone know about Newell's relocation package and bonus structure?

I'm a Finance and Accounting recruiter here in Chicago and have a very good relationship with Managers within this firm. If you'd like to be considered shoot me your resume at brad.fitzpatrick@roberthalf.com. We can talk about your background to see if you're a good fit.

I have had two phone interviews and a final interview in Atlanta, GA. My final interview was about a week ago and I have not yet heard back. I have done a follow up but still no response. Has anyone else been in this situation with Rubbermaid?

I worked as a marketing rep for them. The package is nice, but if you're not big on bragging, boasting, and competing with your own teammates, you better watch your back.

I worked at Newell for 6 years. Hard work, high expectations. They always brought in new, young, energetic graduates who looked down at the rest of us as they were coached and told that they were better. With hard work, making sure that you yourself perform, it was a breeze and Newell responded positively. Meanwhile the new, younger managers slowly disappeared. They are a great company with the same problems that any other firm would have. They truly supported those who helped with the growth of the firm. A solid, terrific company.
