good co-workers had a great experience learning new skills

There for almost 20 years. Would still be there if company would not have been forced to close for business reasons. Always daily challenges and problems to solve, which i found very rewarding. Managements was good although we change many times during my reign. Co-workers were very close, like your second family away from home. Hours were 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. or til the job was done.
Metrics meeting every day from 9a.m. to 10 a.m.
Materials meeting every day from 10 a.m. to noon
Conference calls daily - communicating new product launch 30 mins to one hour.
Management team worked well together.
Co-workers worked as a team always willing to help each other.
Hardest part of the job – more...  was/positive part of the job was - Scrap reduction, we finally were able to hire Engineers to understand the issues/concerns and implement a process to reduce scrap.
I personnally enjoyed my co-workers. We were great morale support to each other. – less

Pretty decent company to work, however, they do have a reputation for hiring and then letting those same people go.

Loved working at Newell Rubbermaid up until change in managment.

Newell Rubbermaid is a great place to work. The only reason I gave one star on the job security, is because they are shutting down my plant. But at the same time they are giving us the oppurtunity to go on to a different location. I really don't have anything to say about this company because wasn't there long. When I was there they treated me well and cared about me.

Safe environment to work in. They have all kinds of Safety Rules and they work with you if you need the help

shop manager wasnt to good but pwr for the course day supervisors wasnt to good

this is high paced factory that needs to be more lean in their processes.

I enjoyed working for Newell Rubbermaid and it saddens me that they are leaving Greenville, Tx..

the factory plant was very safe, but lacked in professionalism

Highly political environment. Best to try to stay neutral...you won't move up easily but you won't be ousted when the power struggle changes with a new president. HR is a joke there. While there is a drug screening process, somehow while I worked there a convicted felon was hired..and lasted until the FBI came to get him.

Stellar company, but in my opinion the department in which you work will be the key to long term employment. Very high turn over, seems like every month they are hiring. This company has not figured out yet what the issues are within in regards to keeping employees around. Inbound call center, I was on time & at work everyday. the people that I worked with was loving caring and treated you like family.

Great group of people to work with - very high turnover rate at all levels of management. Poor leadership.
