NextLabsÔ, Inc. is a leading developer of policy-driven, information risk management software for enterprises. Our central offering is Compliant Enterprise®, a software system that offers a cohesive solution to mitigate information risk by preventing data loss, increasing workforce risk awareness in real-time, and by automating data protection processes and information-handling practices.
Our unique approach provides effective, consistent control that is easy to manage to help companies achieve trusted and secure communication and collaboration throughout the extended enterprise, without compromising data integrity. As a result, business processes remain open and unimpeded, without manual monitoring or excessive approval processes. Using ACPLÔ, a flexible, extensible 4GL based on XACML, an open standard by the OASIS standards consortium, a single set of policies can govern data at rest and information in use across enterprise applications and systems.
Risk officers, compliance managers, and information security staff use our software to reduce insider risk and prevent loss of proprietary data, such as intellectual property and trade secrets. By using our software, enterprises can also govern access to data at rest, and the handling of information in use, by training users on company policy and procedures, and preventing inappropriate disclosure or conflicts of interest issues inherent in business collaboration. Our solutions serve financial services, manufacturing, aerospace & defense, and other industries where regulatory compliance and data protection requirements are critical.
The Company maintains a growing portfolio of thirteen pending patents covering three core areas: automation of information handling procedures, real-time policy enforcement, and the implementation and deployment of extensible and universal controls. NextLabs innovations include the Active Control Policy Language (ACPL). The policy engine features natural language syntax and grammar that supports the development of content-aware and context-sensitive policies.
