I work 12 hour shifts on nights. My coworkers are fantastic and hardworking. Although the pay is very minimum for the hard work, most of us are so attached to the residents that its very hard to leave ,as it is for me. The pay is $8.50 an hour, and thats after your certified. After a year a .10 raise. Hmm..To me ,this shows total lack of appreciation on the part of the company. I have found its all about image. We are short staffed almost every night, so our time spent with the residents is quick and to the point.
We are the lowest paid CNAs in the area that I am aware of.There is no opportunity for advancement. I love my job and would like to stay, but cannot afford to.
