Difficult work environment
Manager (Former Employee), Orangeburg, NYMay 9, 2015
Pros: Good compensation
Cons: Hostile work environment
Overall, the company is lacking in HR and that shows throughout interactions in every department. The culture of disrespect is evident in every meeting. Employees routinely swear at each other and storm out of meetings. HR is nonexistent. The owner of the company is a polite and respectful man- it is clear he has no idea how his Operations Team conducts themselves on a daily basis.

Good place to learn but not for career
microbiologist (Current Employee), new yorkDecember 12, 2014
Pros: only good for entry level in the lab
Cons: horrible management, bad pay, not a place for career
Nicepak/PDI is a small company that is heavily LEAN organized. This doesn't translate well for the common employee but greatly compensates management. This place has probably the worst management of anywhere. They preach "quality and safety cones first", but in reality they don't care about quality and only care about money. I work in one of the labs and so far everyone only earn entry level pay. There is no chance for advancement unless you know people in upper management and they help you out. The upper management has an ego problem and don't like outsiders taking away their comfort level by moving up. I would never use any product made in this place because they way that the manufacturing floor operates and the shortcuts that they take for cleaning leave very dirty machines. They had promised us promotions and raises for years now but so far nothing and every time its the same story that HR did not approve it. The HR in this place is completely useless and have incompetent people running the department. My advice is that take the job if you want to get your foot into industry, especially for labs, but leave after 1 year. This is not a place that you can make a career out of. The moral here is so low that no one cares about the work they do. This place loves to moniter everything that you do. In order to punch in your time, you have to swipe your badge and the use your fingerprint to punch in and out. Even salaried people have to do this. This place has a very very high turn over rate. Usually there are people leaving everyday and then they hire new people everyday. Its a continuous cycle. Everyone leaves because they are at ays able to find a better job somewhere else that is willing to pay more and has better management. Get your help experience and get out.

Nice Pak Overview
Local Driver (Current Employee), Mooresville, INSeptember 13, 2012
Pros: cost of living raise every year and anniversary compensation, 401k
Cons: short breaks for 12 hour shift and breaks are well monitored
This is a great company. Compensation and benifits are above average for the area I live in and the area it is in. More than anything, there is growth potential. If an employee works hard and has great work ethics, that individual will go far.
The atmosphere is light-hearted and friendly. There is a sense of working diligent but that is, after all, why you are there. No member of management is" looking over your shoulder".
There are days when customer service requires you to go into high gear. Production problems do exist. Nice Pak isn't perfect and you may have to get creative when it comes to accomplishing whatever it takes to do the very best job you can do. As a CDL driver, no one ever expects you to go outside of the law in any way. They do ask you to work with purpose.
As a CDL driver, the worst part of my day would be weather. Winters can be harsh and the rainy season can leave you soaked all shift long. Occupational hazzard.
