Registered Nurse, Silver Spring, MD 20902 - October 23, 2017
I work day shift, which is fast pace. I start my day by receiving report from outgoing nurse, followed by making rounds to check and great my patients. Over the past month, I have learned to prioritize by choosing which patient to care for first. How to give different types of medications to more than 15 patients within 2 hours. Also, I have learned to collaborate with my fellow staffs to provide better healthcare. Communicating with the Physician for treatment and abnormal labs, high blood sugar levels. The management department is doing the best they can to keep the facility running. The hardest part of my job is getting to manage difficult patients and family members, and having to look for supplies everywhere when I am in need and time is running out. The most enjoyable part of the job is when I see a smile on the patient's face because my goal is to bring them to their maximum health.
