Good place to start a career in analytical chemistry

A nice place to start for a recent college graduate, which most at NMS are. The salaries are okay but a lot of the benefits make up for it for most young people including health benefits the day you start, bonuses and tuition reimbursement as well as 401K. For most people the grind of working holidays and weekends all the time along with the smaller pay increases as you ascend the ranks, make the life span of most employees tenure about 3 -5 years.
great people, on-site gym, tuition reimbursement, decent salary for recent grad
work weekends, work holidays, shift can be changed at any time, expected to put work before personal life

It seems like the higher-ups of the company are just out for themselves and their own advancement. There seems to be an awful lot of traveling around outside of the country when the business is in the United States . I'm not sure if any of them know what they're doing. Or if the company really values corporate conciousness. HR for sure cannot be trusted and doesn't do a very good job in helping to keep the good people. If you perform well and get really knowledgeable then you may become a threat to others and they get upset. There are also some people that are really nasty that no one understands why they are still there. Really puzzling culture. And stressful. I have not seen the family involved with the day to day operations for years.

Great family created company to work for. You can sit and have lunch with the President and CEO. Down to earth people. It is a family friendly atmosphere. These are caring people to work with. The employees are great to be around for 8 hours. Ability to work from home. Advancement is a challenge.
Food is ability all the time. Departments have parties all the time.
