Strings You Along Until You Realize There's No Room for Advancement
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) – Cheektowaga – June 5, 2015
A typical day at work consisted of standing behind the counter for 8 hours while my manager did all the cleaning and stocking. That being said, I did gain a lot of experience as an assistant manager, but only when my manager had a day off. Management was great at running the store, but rather than teaching employees how to be better - management would do everything. Most co-workers didn't care about the store or the job much at all, which is to be expected when you're making minimum wage. The hardest part of the job was standing behind the counter for 8 hours. Extremely boring, soul crushing job. The most enjoyable part of the job was when my manager had a day off and I was allowed to clean and stock.
