North Charleston United Methodist Church Learning Center offers a high-quality, Christian learning environment for children ages 6 weeks-Kindergarten.
Our guiding vision at North Charleston United Methodist Church Learning Center holds that each child is a gift from God and shall be made to feel secure in God's abiding love and care. Each child is a unique person with special needs and abilities. Our goal is to encourage the growth of the "whole child." A daily schedule, which includes a balance of teacher-directed and child-directed activities, serves to reinforce, enrich, and challenge in an environment where each child is respected as an individual.
Our Learning Center offers a loving, safe place for children ages 6 weeks old through Kindergarten students. Our all day child care program includes an academic curriculum that provides a range of age-appropriate learning centers, group activities, individual instruction, and plenty of fun learning experiences. The children learn such things as shapes, colors, numbers, counting, letters and sounds, weather and seasonal changes, listening and following directions, and pencil and scissor control. Children also learn sign language or Spanish.
Our Kindergarten program is led by an experienced elementary school teacher and offers individualized attention, small class size and experiential, hands-on learning.
